Planning application update…

Still no sign of the details of the revised plans for Plough Lane, as council staff continue to pore over them before making them public. But there are a couple of pieces of info we thought worth sharing to keep local folks in the loop.

Firstly, in a recent radio interview, AFC Wimbledon’s CEO Erik ‘minor changes’ Samuelson revealed that “five substantial documents” had been submitted to Merton Council as part of the revised application. Which explains why what the club had hoped would be a box-ticking exercise looks likely to extend into the autumn.

And secondly, we hear from people who ought to know, that the application – which AFCW had originally expected to be approved in early spring – is not likely to go before the borough’s planning committee until September or possibly even October.
